Following the University of New York Tirana’s mission to educate tomorrow’s leaders, The Department of Economics and Finance offers a variety of programs that equip students with the appropriate skills for the job market and develop their personality to become leaders in the area of Economics, Finance, Accounting, and Banking.
With the unconditional support of academic expertise from local and international instructors, our graduates become competitive in the country and abroad, aiming to be part of the top excellence positions in business or public administration.

Objectives
The Department of Economics and Finance aligns its objectives with UNYT and extends them beyond aiming to:
- Offer a comprehensive cycle of basic, core, and elective courses that are combined in different majors, differentiate the graduates, and specialize them in the specific areas.
- Employ a variety of innovative methods in teaching and learning, including practice learning in business environments and adapting to practical tools used in job-related positions.
- Address the individual needs of students as active and creative learners and empower their involvement in real-life examples and/or projects.
- Closely observe developments not only in the higher education area but also in the business and financial area locally and abroad.
