How to Become an Alumni Relations Officer
A bachelor's degree in human resources is needed to become an alumni relations officer and have experience planning momentous events. You must be confident in leading others and training staff or students. Obtaining a food handler's license is beneficial as you work with food at some events. Other qualifications include experience writing promotional material, the ability to motivate others, prior knowledge of developing alumni chapters, and strong written and verbal communication skills. As an alumni relations officer, you often travel to campuses and vendor locations and must be able to work flexible hours.
