Bachelor of e-Business and e-Commerce

About

Bachelor in “e-Business and e-Commerce” is a 3-year program with 180 ECTS. It is offered by the Business Informatics and e-Business Department, at the Faculty of Economy and Business. The curriculum designed for this Bachelor program, is approved by the Order no. 230, dt. 19.07.2021 of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. This study program has been designed to equip students with the necessary skills and competencies that will enable them to be competitive in a national and international market as well as to form the basis for further academic studies in the second cycle.

  • Develop and apply scientific and professional achievements in the field of electronic business and trade and related disciplines such as strategic management and marketing.
  • Acquire professional qualifications to work in various business sectors that use Internet technology and more.
  • Meet the appropriate solid criteria and education to continue their studies in the second and third cycle of education.

Admission Requirements

The application process to apply for the bachelor programs of UNYT is made possible through the U-Albania Portal on the pre-defined dates from the Ministry of Education. For every enrolment period, UNYT adds a customized calendar from U-Albania with the dates for each process. This is usually public in April.

UNYT Admission Criteria

  • GPA Average greater than 6.5/10 for all study programs, In compliance with Decree of Council of Ministers.
  • A complete application form.
  • Original copies of High School Diploma and Transcript, or photocopies legalized by the Regional Educational Directory and the Ministry of Education and Sports.
  • If the degree was obtained out of the Republic of Albania it must go through the diploma recognition process at the Ministry of Education and Sports.
  • Photocopy of ID or passport.
  • Two recent passport-size photographs.
  • English Certificate of B1/B2 Level.

International Students Admissions

  • 1 completed application form (if the application was not filled in online)
  • 1 certified copy of high school diploma and transcripts* of all the years
  • Proof of English level
  • An electronic passport photo or 3 printed passport-size photos
  • 1 copy of a valid passport or ID card

Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic concepts of e-business and e-commerce, including their various forms and examples of best practices. Analyze modern business and commerce challenges and their technical aspects.
  • Apply knowledge of managerial applications in the Internet age, including retail (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) applications.
  • Identify and apply strategic considerations businesses face with digital technology and platforms. Evaluate how technological developments add value to consumers both functionally and experientially.
  • Utilize modern information technologies and Internet services to support electronic business and trade processes.
  • Apply acquired knowledge to devise creative solutions for business and trade problems using information and communication technology and Internet services, including strategic digital solutions in various business models.
  • Implement solutions for e-business and e-commerce situations in both local and global environments using deep disciplinary knowledge.
  • Identify and research issues in e-business and e-commerce situations, analyze and propose appropriate and justified solutions through critical thinking.
  • Prepare clear and concise written documents using appropriate styles for the intended audience, purpose, and context, and deliver well-structured and professional oral presentations.
  • Collaborate effectively and responsibly in teams, reflecting on teamwork processes and achieving results.
  • Demonstrate focus on ethical, social, and environmental responsibility, and analyze their implications in decision-making and business practices.

Graduation Requirements

To graduate from the First Cycle Program (Bachelor), the student must:

  • Earn 180 ECTS
  • Have a GPA of 2.0 / 4.0 (50/100) in all academic years

Issuance of Diploma

To issue a diploma, the student must:

  • Complete the DIPLOMA form
  • Have permission from the Library, IT, and Finance office
  • Return the SIGNED FORM (signed by the Advisor, Program Chair, and Faculty Dean) to the Registrar's Office
  • The DIPLOMA signed by the Dean and Rector, defined in Article 5, to be issued, is considered closed and completed
